Great news about NailPro Competition in Sacramento!Gabriella Kovacs is a famous international master educator and competitor of Crystal Nails. She won in several categories at the Nailympics in 2009, and she was also the Winner of Winners in London. She has also won in Dusseldorf at the International Nail Competition in 2011. She competed in Finland, Slovenia and she was a national winner two times with her acrylic technique what she also teaches around the world during her classes.
This time she came to Sacramento to compete in most of the categories and to prove her knowledge in this continent as well. She competed in Sculptured Nails, Salon Success and the totally new Soak-Off Gel Manicure categories. In Sculptured Nails she used the following acrylics: Ultra White, Dark Pink and Odorless Clear. She placed 4th with only one point behind the 3rd place winner. The Sculptured nail category was the first competition at the event on the 2nd of October, and the competitors had 2 and a half hour to finish with a French nail on one hand and on the other with a red one. As Gabriella is using acrylic materials perfectly she choose to use Crystal Nails Dark Pink Master Acrylic powder which is for experienced and competitors as the powders are in creamy condition with a slightly quicker binding effect. |

With this Master Acrylic she had to pay attention for the right mixing ratio. Slower Ultra White material allows a bit slower work which is great to create the best shape for the nail as with the medium binding time that could be formed and applied over a longer period of time. This is a high advantage of these materials which makes them perfect for every competition.
Gabriella also used the Crystal Nails preparation materials: Spray Prep, Nail Prep, Acidic Primer and the Acid free Primer. During each competition the competitors must make sure that they are doing the necessary steps to avoid infections, even if the model don’t want to wear the creations for a long time. Preparation also has an advantage that it makes the nail surface sticky so the first layers of the materials stays much stronger on the nails and make the fantastic competition nails durable even if they are thinner than a business card. During the Sculptured nail category the judges were checking the smile lines what she could create perfectly with using the Dark Pink Master Acrylic and the Slower Ultra White Acrylic powders. The judges also gave points on "C" curves, Cuticle Area, Shape, Product Control, Moons, Surface and Lateral Structure, Length, Polish Application, Finish Work and the Overall Impression. She used the same materials in Salon Success and took 4th place with the same points as the 3rd place winner. This category was the second competition of the day in Sacramento. The competitors only had 1.5 hours to complete a set of salon-style nail enhancements using either forms or tips. This competition was judged in the following categories: smile lines, “C” curves, cuticle area, shape, product control, surface structure, presentation, lateral structure, length, polish application finish work, and overall impression. Gabriella used the materials with perfect timing. |

The last competition on the same day was the Soak-Off Gel Manicure when the Competitors only had 30 minutes to complete a soak off gel manicure on the models hands.
