Gel brushes, acrylic nail brushes, and delicate nailart brushes in varying shapes, sizes, and colors, covering all aspects of sculpting gel nails and acrylic nails, and also of creating unique nail art designs. Durable bristles (natural, synthetic, and Kolinsky). Handles graced with engraved Crystal Nails logos. Maximum precision and stability.

The development of Crystal Nails’ cutting-edge nail brushes took place in cooperation with world champion and Nailympia gold medalist nail technicians. Crystal Nails has devoted extra attention to this product line, as a nail brush is arguably the most important tool of a nail technician – which is why you should pay extra attention to choosing the right brush. A poor quality brush will not only result in poor quality nails, but they are a headache to work with and will definitely skyrocket your expenses as they wear down pretty fast.

Nail technicians use these tools for sculpting and decorating purposes. According to the two major artificial nail materials, there are UV gel brushes and acrylic nail brushes, and last not least there are nailart brushes.

The materials of brushes depend on their function. For acrylic sculpting, outstanding liquid-absorbing qualities are required, which is why we recommend the made-of-natural-hair Kolinsky nail brush (sometimes referred to as Kolinski brush) or the Red sable brush. The latter is cheaper, which in turn means lower quality, as the bristles are not suited for maintaining a shape that ensures a needle-sharp tip. For gel sculpting, we recommend brushes with synthetic bristles, while decorating brushes are available in both versions (meaning natural bristles and synthetic bristles).

The shape of the brush head also varies. Brushes with a flat head and a needle-sharp pointed tip are much better suited for acrylic sculpting than brushes with a round head. For gel sculpting, we recommend flat-head brushes with equal-sized bristles, while nail art brushes show an immense variety, covering all nail decoration techniques, and are available in an abundance of shapes and sizes.

As a final thought, a few words about the best acrylic nail brush size. At Crystal Nails, we usually recommend size 6 brushes for beginners, size 8 for salon work, and size 10-12 for competitions. As sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, these same brushes can be 2 to 4 sizes larges, so a size 8 Crystal Nails acrylic brush can be a size 12 at another brand.

To find the best fingernail brush and the best nail art brush for you – brushes that feel good in your hand, brushes that are a joy to work with, and last not least brushes that match your current skill level, you’ll have to try more than a few, so it’s definitely a long process. Our most crucial advice is that once you’ve found a brand that meets all your requirements, stick to that brand as long as you are in the profession.

Let’s talk brushes! – Crystal Nails brush maintenance tips

We’re pretty sure you know that brushes are among the most important tools in any nail tech’s tool kit. Since brushes play an important role in your success, proper brush maintenance is something you should not be slacking on.

As it is with most things in life, brushes do not last forever and need to be changed from time and time again. But with the right maintenance measures, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your brushes, which will in turn save you serious amounts of cash and will help you in building your business. Moreover, tidy and well-kept brushes can be the crown jewels of your salon, serving as testaments to how precise of a person you are and to the fact that your clients are in good hands.

Now let’s take a closer look at the specifics of brush maintenance. Your gel sculpting brushes should always be cleaned with a lint-free towel, and you should always store them with their cap on. Keep your gel sculpting brushes away from sunlight, UV, and LED light. Use separate brushes for clear, color, and glitter materials. Brushes you use for color and glitter materials should be cleaned with brush cleaner liquid.

It’s also advised to clean your gel decoration brushes with brush cleaner liquid, store them with their cap on, and keep them away from sunlight, UV, and LED light.

As for acrylic nail art brushes, thoroughly cleaning them after use is a must, although it is not necessary to soak them into soapy water or any other liquid. Knowing their price tag, natural bristle brushes require extra care and attention: leaving them in water for extended periods of time will damage the bristles. After cleaning, thoroughly wipe the bristles, and store the brushes with their cap on. The same applies to aquarelle brushes.

After you’re done sculpting your latest acrylic masterpiece, soak your acrylic sculpting brushes into liquid (used liquid is a no-go, as it can contain glitters, pigments, and leftover material) and thoroughly wipe both sides. Do the same with acrylic nail art brushes, and store them tip-down. Storing acrylic brushes tip-up will cause the liquid to flow to the ferrule and discolor the bristles.

Keep your brushes in a brush holder, preferably a compact silicone brush case that’s easy to clean and that can always be by your side while you’re working.

Crystal Nails Acrylic Nail Brushes – Sculpt like a champion!

Crystal Nails Acrylic Nail Brushes – Sculpt like a champion!

Acrylic Brushes were developed in close cooperation with Crystal Nails’ award-winning, Nailympia gold medalist and US champion nail technicians to establish the coveted balance of quality, functionality, and style.

With the accuracy and control that Acrylic Nail Brushes provide, you can skyrocket your acrylic nail sculpting skills to never-before-seen heights. Manufactured in the three most popular sizes (6, 8, and 10), all Acrylic Sculpting Brushes come equipped with a stabilized handle spruced up with engraved Crystal Nails logos, a matching cap, and an accuracy-enhancing pointed tip. Speaking of pointed tips, the brush heads of Acrylic Nail Brushes are either made of soft kolinsky hair or durable, hard, natural bristles. Whether it’s the latter or the former you prefer, you can be sure that the acrylic sculpting brush you choose is super absorbent and delivers exceptional compressive force.

Kolinsky hair? What is that?

For the production of kolinsky nail brushes – also known as kolinsky sable-hair brushes, the go-to choice of millions of artists worldwide -, Crystal Nails uses the super soft winter fur of the Siberian weasel. Kolinsky acrylic sculpting brushes bring unprecedented accuracy to the table, allowing you to take your nail sculpting game to the next level and beyond.

Are Crystal Nails Acrylic Sculpting Brushes suited for beginner nail technicians?

Sure, although it really is a matter of preference, as the chosen acrylic sculpting brush type can vary from nail tech to nail tech. Regardless, as Crystal Nails puts a major emphasis on education, there are a pair of acrylic sculpting brushes tailor-made for beginner nail technicians: the size 8 acrylic sculpting brush is ideal for fast-paced work, while the size 6 is optimized for slower-paced work.

What do I have to do before I use my Acrylic Nail Brush for the first time?

Great question! The first step is scrubbing the glue out of the bristles of your acrylic nail brush by dipping it into Crystal Nails Liquid, applying pressure to slowly massage out the bubbles. Aaand…that’s it! Enjoy your brand new acrylic nail brush!

How can I make sure that my acrylic brush is in top shape? Any maintenance tips?

After using your acrylic brush, thoroughly clean it with Crystal Nails Liquid. Wipe the brush head with a paper towel, form a pointed tip from the bristles, and store it either tip-up or in a horizontal position. Avoid storing your acrylic sculpting brush upside down, because Crystal Nails Liquid will dissolve the glue and discolor the bristles.
